Full job description

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team in Stockton-on-Tees. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional support to our staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for problem-solving, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT services.

Outline of Responsibilities:

Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions using the helpdesk system.
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and improvements.
Educate staff on best practices for IT usage and security protocols.
Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Information Technology (desirable not essential) , Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Office 365, MS SQL, MS Dynamics, Microsoft Operating systems & server structures including Active Directory, Intune.
Excellent knowledge of IT Security infrastructure and implementation.
Networking experience - IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WIFI, cabling & infrastructure.
Project management experience
Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with helpdesk software and remote support tools.
Ability to apply new technologies for use within the company.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Supporting the attainment of company targets.
Works on own initiative in a pro active way.
