Role Overview
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this part-time role, you will keep our office running smoothly by managing essential financial administration, professional correspondence, and daily operational tasks.
You will play an integral role in collaborating with our external accountants to process payroll and maintain compliance with HMRC.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Admin & Payroll: Coordinate alongside our external accountants to process payroll accurately; manage day-to-day queries relating to PAYE and HMRC compliance.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records using a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Data Entry: Input and update internal databases, spreadsheets, and records with high precision.
- Professional Correspondence: Draft and send clear, professional emails to external professionals and care networks relating to clients.
- Office Management: Oversee general office filing (both digital and physical), scanning, and routine administrative duties.
- IT Support: Utilize basic IT troubleshooting skills to maintain smooth daily digital operations.
Requirements & Skills
- Software Proficiency: Advanced or highly proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Excel (essential).
- Finance Knowledge: Basic understanding of bookkeeping concepts, PAYE, and HMRC processes.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with professionals.
- Technical Literacy: Strong foundational understanding of IT systems and standard office technology.
