Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the healthcare sector while contributing to the health and happiness of those in your care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Administer medication as per prescribed instructions (training provided)
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families
Support with light domestic tasks within care environments or clients’ homes
Drive between different care settings or client locations as required (driving licence preferred)

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
Good command of English language skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in IT for documentation and communication purposes
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles requiring travel between locations
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others
Ability to follow care plans accurately and adhere to health and safety guidelines
