Job Summary
Kitchen Porter

Swinley Forest Golf Club is one of the country’s premier private members’ golf clubs.

e are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team on a 20-hour-per-week contract, working five days per week with four-hour shifts.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and efficiency of our upstairs kitchen, while supporting the carvery chef and front-of-house team to ensure smooth daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within the hospitality industry and become part of a professional and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and presentation of hot food on the carvery.
Wash, clean and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots and pans to maintain high hygiene standards.
Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors and equipment throughout the shift.
Support the organisation of storage areas and ensure correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
Assist with waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Help set up dining areas before service and assist with cleaning and resetting after service.
Support front-of-house staff during busy periods by ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and service equipment.
Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.

Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
