Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural & Architectural Metal Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components used in various architectural and structural applications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in metalwork and fabrication to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic environment. The position involves working with diverse materials, including sheet metal, and requires precision, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Fabricate metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques suitable for architectural and structural applications
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment efficiently and safely
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials with accuracy
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication
Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet project standards
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist in the installation of fabricated components on-site when required

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding and other welding methods relevant to <LOCATION> welding standards
Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
Strong knowledge of sheet metal work and assembly processes
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
Familiarity with the use of various welding techniques specific to structural and architectural projects
Ability to work accurately under deadlines while maintaining high safety standards
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of fabrication and assembly
