Job Overview

Join our artisan bakery team as a Kitchen Porter (KP), where your energy and dedication will help contribute to a seamless and inspiring baking environment. In this vital role, you’ll be the backbone of our bakery operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficient workflow. Your enthusiasm will contribute to delivering exceptional baked goods. This full time, paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your organisational skills in a lively, supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of all bakery areas, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
Assist with specific bakery tasks under the guidance of bakers
Learning how to dust bannetons for award winning sourdough, line focaccia trays, make crème pâtisserie and cinnamon butter amongst many other skills
Handle general waste and recycling processes in accordance with bakery policy and health standards
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential—all training and support will be provided
Basic understanding of hygiene standards and safety regulations in food service environments
Experience working in a fast-paced environment helps you adapt quickly and stay organized
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues

This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on bakery experience while contributing to the creation of artisanal baked goods. If you’re energetic, detail-oriented, and like working in a team environment who all strive for quality and consistency we’d love to hear from you!

Hours of work

Sunday to Friday for 5-6 days / 40-48 hours a week. Start at 2/3 pm to 10/11 pm

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
