We are seeking a diligent and skilled Maintenance Team Member to join our team. As our Maintenance Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel facilities are well-kept, safe, and operating efficiently. This role requires hands-on work with a variety of tasks, from routine preventative maintenance to addressing immediate repairs, creating a welcoming environment for both guests and staff.

Objectives of this role

Maintain the operational efficiency and appearance of hotel facilities and grounds
Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure guest satisfaction
Ensure the hotel is compliant with all health and safety regulations
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
Work closely with the management team to identify and address repair needs
Decorating jobs around the hotel

Responsibilities

Conduct repairs and routine maintenance on hotel facilities
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as inspecting building systems (e.g., electrical, heating, ventilation) and addressing minor issues before they become larger problems
Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests in a timely manner
Ensure that all hotel equipment and systems are functioning properly and safely
Assist with maintaining the hotel’s exterior and landscaping to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to address repairs and maintenance needs
Document and report all maintenance tasks performed
Painting and decorating

Skills and qualifications

Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with a background in general maintenance (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong communication and organizational skills
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications

Experience in hotel maintenance or a similar field
Good decorating skills
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
