Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, supporting children's development and learning. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with young children, possess strong communication skills, and have relevant nursery experience. Flexibility in working hours and a positive attitude are essential to thrive in this role.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery setting
Support children with their daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and personal care
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages learning through play
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education are upheld
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's wellbeing and development
Assist in organising nursery resources and ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the play areas
Support management in implementing policies related to health, safety, and child protection

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Strong management and leadership skills to guide children’s activities effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate leadership when necessary
Experience in managing behaviour positively and supporting children's individual needs
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between nursery locations or community visits
