About the Role

We are looking for caring, compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our friendly team. Whether you are experienced or looking to start a rewarding career in care, we would love to hear from you.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, supporting them to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and respect.

Working alongside Senior Care Assistants and the management team, you will help create a safe, welcoming and homely environment where residents feel valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing, grooming and continence care.
Support residents with mobility and the safe use of equipment.
Assist residents with eating and drinking, encouraging independence wherever possible.
Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
Encourage residents to participate in social activities and maintain their interests and hobbies.
Monitor residents' wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns to the Senior Care Assistant.
Maintain accurate care records using our electronic care planning system.
Assist with housekeeping tasks to ensure residents' rooms and communal areas remain clean and comfortable.
Promote dignity, privacy, independence and choice in every aspect of care.
Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
Work in accordance with safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
Support residents living with dementia and other age-related conditions with patience, kindness and understanding.
Attend handovers, team meetings and mandatory training sessions.
Work effectively as part of a supportive team.

Essential Requirements

Right to work in the UK.
Willingness to complete mandatory training.
Ability to provide high standards of person-centred care.

Desirable

Previous experience in a care setting.
NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
Experience supporting people living with dementia.
Experience using electronic care planning systems such as Log My Care.
Moving and Handling training.
Basic First Aid training.
