Experienced Tyre Technician / Supervisor
Management or supervisory experience would be preferred.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Tyre Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will need to be confident carrying out all aspects of tyre fitting and repair, while also being comfortable dealing directly with customers and taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the tyre bay when required.
This is a hands-on role, but we are looking for someone who can do more than simply fit tyres. You should be able to speak confidently with customers, explain what work is required, take payments and help ensure customers receive a professional and friendly service.
Previous management, supervisory or customer-facing experience would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Fit, remove and replace tyres on a range of vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Inspect tyres for wear, damage and tread depth and advise customers when replacement or repair is required.
- Carry out puncture repairs where appropriate.
- Balance wheels correctly and identify potential tyre or wheel-related issues.
- Speak directly with customers about their vehicle and the work required.
- Provide clear and helpful advice on tyres, repairs and maintenance.
- Take customer payments and handle basic transactions when required.
- Help organise the workload and day-to-day running of the tyre bay when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
- Wheel refurbishment as required (training will be provided)
- Other admin duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous tyre fitting experience is essential.
- Able to work confidently and independently.
- Good practical and mechanical knowledge.
- Confident using tyre fitting, wheel balancing and associated equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable speaking with customers and explaining work clearly.
- Reliable, organised and able to use initiative.
- Comfortable handling payments and taking responsibility when required.
- Management, supervisory or team-leading experience would be preferred.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
- Minimum 1 year tyre fitting experience
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (hot and cold) as well as in all types of shop environment (clean & dirty)
- Driver's license preferred
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours per week Monday - Saturday. Must be available to work Saturdays as part of a 5 day working week.

Pay: £26,500.00-£31,200.00 per year
