Ashbourne Community Transport (ACT) and its sister company - The Ashbourne Little Bus Company provide transport to a range of users with a fleet of modern accessible minibuses. ACT is a registered charity.
Job Summary: We are seeking a committed individual with experience of providing front-line services to customers in a busy office environment and working as part of a small team.
The successful candidate will provide crucial support to our passengers and take responsibility for important and essential administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and the business.
Duties include: answering phone calls, dealing with passenger bookings, queries or complaints; operating and managing 2 booking systems; making bookings to optimise vehicle use and driver time while maintaining rules for drivers' working hours; reporting related statistical information for management and contract holders; preparing quotations for private hire clients; booking driver training and overseeing essential checks of licences and updating of DBS record and safeguarding training; support with general clerical tasks.
No day is the same and being able prioritise tasks is essential. The office is open Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00 and Saturday 09:00-13:00. We take it in turns on a rota basis to hold the on-call duty phone to support our drivers in the event of an emergency. This normally works out 1 week in 5. We are looking for someone part time to join the team 2-5 days per week on 15-20 hours per week.

Essential Requirements: -
- Proven experience in a small office team and in an administrative role-
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills-
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently-
- Strong organisational skills to manage office operations effectively.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience with rotas and scheduling staff
- Office Administration experience
- D1 driving licence would be nice to have but not essential
