Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to our guests, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, with experience in catering, serving, or food preparation. Previous restaurant or barista experience is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic environment committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Duties

Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and courteously
Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas and service stations
Support catering events by setting up, serving, and clearing tables
Take orders accurately and handle transactions using POS systems
Ensure compliance with food safety standards at all times
Provide excellent customer service by attending to guest needs promptly
Restock supplies and assist in the overall smooth running of the service area
Support bar operations with basic drink service if applicable

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous
Barista experience is a plus but not essential
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A professional attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings as required
