Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. All positions are paid, including internship opportunities, and offer the chance to develop key skills within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems or manually as required
- Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during service
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of dining areas throughout shifts
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Manage billing processes accurately and efficiently at the end of each service period
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is beneficial
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be advantageous
- Ability to demonstrate excellent time management skills in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with guests and team members
