Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor/Barista to lead our team and deliver exceptional customer service in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be passionate about coffee and food service, and ensure smooth daily operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your supervisory abilities while engaging with customers and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily café operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to company standards.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items in accordance with established recipes and safety guidelines.
Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance on customer service, food safety, and operational procedures.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety throughout the premises.
Manage stock levels, place orders when necessary, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
Assist with training new staff members in food preparation, serving techniques, and safety procedures.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within the hospitality sector is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and stock management.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively. This role offers an engaging environment for those passionate about coffee culture and customer service excellence while developing leadership skills within a supportive team setting.
