Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Office and Social Media Assistant to join our growing business.

The role will be based mainly at our Newton Abbot office and showroom, although occasional travel to our Seale-Hayne workshop may be required.

Working Hours and Pay

Monday to Thursday
8:30am to 2:30pm
A 20-minute unpaid break during each shift
22 hours and 40 minutes of paid work per week
£13.71 per hour
Occasional additional paid weekend hours may be required during the summer months to help at shows and events

Main Responsibilities

The main focus of this role will be office administration, customer service and creating regular social media content for the business.

Office responsibilities will include:

Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with customer enquiries
Replying to emails and online enquiries
Preparing and sending estimates and quotations
Creating and sending customer invoices
Booking customers and vehicles into the diary
Keeping customers updated on bookings and vehicle progress
Ordering parts and checking deliveries
Helping to keep the office and showroom organised and presentable
Providing general administrative support to the team

A key part of the role will also be creating daily social media content across our different business pages. This will include:

Taking photos and videos of vehicles and completed installations
Creating and publishing engaging posts
Writing clear and professional captions
Promoting our products and services
Sharing workshop updates, current projects and completed work
Creating short-form video content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
Responding to basic comments and messages
Helping to maintain a consistent and professional online presence

There may also occasionally be a need to collect vehicles or parts and assist with other duties to support the team.

About You

The ideal applicant will:

Be friendly, confident and professional when speaking with customers
Be organised and comfortable managing several tasks
Be confident using computers, email and social media
Be able to create clear, engaging and professional content
Be reliable and able to work independently
Be happy working in a growing business where priorities may occasionally change
Hold a full UK driving licence

Experience using Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or basic photo and video editing software would be beneficial.

Experience within the automotive industry would also be helpful but is not essential, as training will be provided.

Pay: £13.00-£13.71 per hour
