Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join an organisation on a full-time, permanent basis. This hybrid role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in finance, accounting or financial services who is looking to contribute to organisational stability, compliance and growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports and supporting financial planning processes. This role would suit someone who is organised, analytical and committed to maintaining high standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Officer, your duties will include:

Overseeing daily financial operations, including processing invoices, payments and receipts
Preparing and analysing financial reports to support management decision-making
Ensuring compliance with relevant financial legislation, regulations and internal policies
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using recognised accounting software
Assisting with budgeting processes and monitoring expenditure against budgets
Conducting regular checks and audits of financial transactions to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Liaising with external auditors, banks and other financial institutions when required
Supporting financial planning, forecasting and reporting activities
Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth and accurate financial administration

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience in a finance, accounting or financial services role
A strong understanding of financial regulations, standards and best practices
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
A high level of accuracy when handling financial records and transactions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to liaise confidently with internal teams and external partners
A proactive and professional approach to financial administration
