Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across a school environment.The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Hours, Monday to Friday 1530pm to 1800pm.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, washrooms, corridors, and communal areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly to uphold health and safety protocols
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management
Follow organisational procedures for security and confidentiality when working within client premises

Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices is advantageous
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Reliability and punctuality are essential qualities for this role

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating clean, hygienic environments and are committed to maintaining high standards of service. Applicants should be organised, proactive, and able to work efficiently within a team or independently.
