Accounts Receivable Clerk

The opportunity

A great opening has come up for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the Finance team at Advanced Supply Chain Group on a fixed-term basis of 6 to 12 months. We work in a hybrid way, so your week is split between home and our Bradford office (BD12) - a straightforward drive from Junction 26 of the M62. The salary on offer is up to £27,500, based on the experience you bring.

What you'll be focused on

Cash flow is the lifeblood of any business, and this role is all about protecting it. Your day-to-day mission is to keep customer payments landing on time and matching up correctly — combining a proactive, relationship-led approach to collections with a keen eye on accuracy. You won't be working in isolation, either: you'll team up with colleagues right across the business to get our invoicing right first time, because accurate data upstream saves everyone headaches down the line.

Day to day, you'll be:

Matching incoming payments against remittances quickly and correctly
Following up with customers to resolve any remittance discrepancies and keep things clear
Getting to the bottom of invoice queries and routing them to the right teams to fix
Staying on top of overdue balances and chasing payment with confidence
Working through more challenging accounts and escalating them to your Team Leader (or above) where appropriate
Placing customers on stop when it's the right call to control risk
Keeping customer records clean and current within Sage
