Part-Time Warehouse Operative – Logistics & Parcel Sortation

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Warehouse Operative to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, sorting, scanning, and movement of parcels within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is crucial in ensuring customer deliveries and collections are processed accurately and dispatched on time to meet operational deadlines and service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Sort and organise incoming and outgoing parcels according to destination, route, and delivery schedules.
Scan parcels using handheld devices and warehouse management systems.
Ensure all parcels are processed accurately to minimise errors and delays.
Move freight throughout the warehouse using appropriate manual handling techniques.
Maintain productivity levels to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Assist colleagues and supervisors during peak periods to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Follow company procedures, policies, and safe working practices at all times.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving parcels safely.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable

Previous warehouse, logistics, distribution, or parcel sortation experience.
Experience using barcode scanners or warehouse management systems.
Understanding of health and safety procedures within a warehouse environment.
