What you'll do:

Lead and support the Security Operations team, ensuring the delivery of a safe, professional, and customer-focused security service.

Manage daily shift operations, ensuring adequate staffing, effective incident management, and seamless service delivery.

Act as a key point of contact for clients, colleagues, contractors, and emergency services, building strong working relationships at all levels.

Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and customer requests, ensuring appropriate action is taken and stakeholders are kept informed.

Oversee site security systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, and control room operations.
-
Coordinate site patrols, vehicle checks, perimeter inspections, and car park monitoring to protect people, property, and assets.

Manage visitor and contractor access, ensuring inductions, bookings, and security procedures are completed accurately.

Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, daily occurrence books, and health & safety documentation.

Lead the onboarding, training, and development of security officers, carrying out competency assessments and annual performance reviews.

Manage staff rotas and arrange cover to ensure operational resilience across all shifts.

Ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements, company policies, health & safety legislation, and site-specific procedures.

Carry out risk assessments, monitor safety standards, and promote a strong health & safety culture across the team.

Supervise contractors and support emergency responses to fire alarms, intruder activations, and other critical incidents.

Use site technology and security systems confidently, including access control, CCTV, weighbridge, and reporting systems.

Identify opportunities to improve security operations, enhance customer service, and drive continuous improvement across the site.
What you'll bring:
-
Previous experience leading a security team within a corporate, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities management environment.

A valid SIA Front Line Licence with a strong understanding of security operations and best practice.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.

Strong organisational skills with experience managing rotas, staffing levels, and operational priorities.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with clients, contractors, emergency services, and colleagues.
-
Experience responding to incidents and emergencies, with the ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
-
Good knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, fire safety procedures, and incident reporting.

A proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
-
Confident using Microsoft Office and security or operational management systems.
-
A flexible approach to working hours and the ability to support operational requirements when needed.

A full UK driving licence is desirable, with the confidence to drive site vehicles where required.
