Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication tasks, contributing to the creation and assembly of metal components and structures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for metalwork and mechanical processes to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to work in a hands-on, technical capacity, ensuring safety and precision in all tasks.

Responsibilities

Execute MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and finish metal parts.
Perform basic measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of components.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into larger structures or systems.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding with a strong understanding of welding standards.
Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Solid knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
Familiarity with using welding masks, clamps, grinders, drills, and other essential fabrication tools.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality welds and fabrications consistently.
Good teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently when required.
