Summary

We are seeking a Wakened Night Worker to join our compassionate team in supporting children and young people at our community-based facility in Scotland. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of those in our care during night hours, aligning with our mission to foster growth and resilience. This post works 7 nights on from 10pm to 9am and 7 nights off.
Responsibilities

Provide overnight supervision and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Implement and update individual care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Respond promptly to any emergencies or needs that arise during the night.
Maintain accurate records of overnight activities and incidents.
Foster a calm, nurturing environment conducive to rest and well-being.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and external professionals regarding each child's progress and concerns.
Support the emotional and developmental needs of children through attentive care.
Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a care or educational setting.
Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
Valid driving license is preferred.
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
Compassionate attitude with a commitment to supporting vulnerable children.
Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining vigilance.
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service.
