Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Bar/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the bar and kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for food safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry in a lively and friendly environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and serving food and beverages in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas at all times
Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks
Serve customers efficiently, ensuring a high standard of customer service
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations
Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards diligently
Handle cash transactions accurately and assist with order processing when required
Ensure compliance with licensing laws regarding alcohol service
Assist in setting up event spaces or special functions as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or catering environments is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests and team members
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A friendly, professional attitude with a genuine interest in delivering excellent customer service
