Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Solar PV Electrician to join our growing renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems, including inverters, batteries and associated equipment. You will work closely with roofers and installers to deliver high-quality, safe and compliant installations. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking to build a long-term career in the fast-growing renewable energy sector.

Duties

Installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems
Installation of inverters, batteries and associated electrical equipment
AC & DC wiring, isolators, generation meters and consumer unit connections
Fault finding, testing and commissioning of systems
Completing all electrical works to BS7671 standards
Working closely with roofers and installers on site
Completing installation certificates and documentation
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and professionally

Skills

Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) knowledge
Experience installing Solar PV systems (residential/commercial) preferred
Ability to install inverters, batteries, isolators, and associated electrical equipment
Ability to carry out AC & DC wiring and system commissioning
Test & Inspection qualification (e.g., 2391, or equivalent)
Understanding of electrical safety, risk assessments, and working at height safety

Pay: £100.00-£350.00 per day
