Main purpose of Job:
To ensure the smooth running of warehouse operations, responsible for goods in and out, processing warehouse orders, preparing stock for branch transfers, while serving as the primary operational back up for the Warehouse Admin & Support Coordinator during periods of absence or peak demand.
Primary Responsibilities (Stores & Warehouse Operations):
- Goods In: Receive, unload, inspect, and sign for incoming deliveries, matching goods against purchase orders, and then booking in to the system
- Order processing: Accurately pick, pack, and secure orders for despatch
- Warehouse & Inventory: Maintain accurate stock records and support regular stock takes
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and yard area
- Production Support: Assist with the picking, processing and packing of goods as required
Secondary Responsibilities (Admin & Logistics Cover):
- Order & Despatch Management: Oversee daily stock allocation, generate accurate despatch documentation, and coordinate transport/couriers
- Inventory Control: Monitor and replenish workshop consumables and stock items, process stock adjustments and Branch Transfer requests accurately
- Certification: Compile and verify job-specific certification and technical documentation packs prior to despatch
- Asset & Supplier Coordination: Schedule workshop asset inspections, calibrations, and servicing with third-party suppliers as directed by the Operations Manager.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a similar warehouse or logistics role
- Forklift licence experience
- IT literate – capable of using inventory software, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and basic logistics tools
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and safe manual handling practices.
