Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to provide support and companionship to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care, ensuring residents' safety, and maintaining a peaceful environment. This role is essential in supporting residents' well-being and ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.

Duties

Monitor residents’ conditions ensuring their safety and comfort
Assist with personal care tasks as required, respecting residents’ dignity and privacy
Respond promptly to call bells or emergencies, providing appropriate assistance
Document any incidents or changes in residents’ health in accordance with care plans
Support residents with mobility or repositioning needs during the night
Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with team members and family members regarding residents’ wellbeing
Assist with light domestic duties such as tidying communal areas when appropriate

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents outside the care home if needed
Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow care plans accurately
Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently particularly during night shifts while maintaining professional standards
