About the role

Could you support children and young people to receive highquality care at home and in the community?

As a Band 6 Children’s Community Nurse, you’ll deliver evidencebased care to children with a range of acute, short and longterm needs. Working across the Island, you’ll support hospital discharge, reduce unnecessary admissions and help children receive care in the most appropriate setting.

You’ll manage your own caseload, coordinate care and build strong relationships with families, carers and professionals to deliver integrated, personcentred support. The role also includes supporting and developing others through training and supervision, helping strengthen the wider team.

This is a period of service growth and development, offering opportunities to build specialist skills across areas such as epilepsy, respiratory care, oncology or continence, alongside the chance to develop leadership and prescribing expertise.

Accommodation may be available for the first 6 months in your role at a reduced rate for non-Island residents, subject to availability.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
