Lead one of Okell’s Inns’ busy wet-led pubs on the Isle of Man as a hands-on, commercially driven General Manager who can grow sales, build a vibrant sports-led atmosphere, and make the pub a true community hub. We’re looking for a charismatic, commercially driven General Manager to take the reins of one of our busy, wet-led pubs on the Isle of Man, someone who doesn’t just run a pub, but owns the atmosphere, the team, and the experience.
This is a role for someone who lives and breathes hospitality. You’ll know your locals by name, your sport fixtures by heart, and your drinks offers better than anyone in the room.

The Opportunity
This is more than a General Manager role, it’s a chance to build a proper local.
You’ll take ownership of a high-energy, wet-led site where your focus will be:
- Driving sales, volume, and footfall
- Creating a sports-led, social atmosphere
- Building strong ties with the local community
- Delivering a pub that feels alive, every day of the week
What You’ll Be Doing
Commercial Growth & Business Development
- Manage the P&L and grow revenue through commercially focused ideas
- Create drinks-led offers, promotions, and events that drive trade
- Make the most of key trading moments, including weekends, live sport, and seasonal peaks
Sport & Atmosphere
- Position the pub as the first choice for live sport
- Create matchday experiences that draw people in
- Use the sporting calendar to shape weekly trade and boost revenue
Community & Local Presence
- Be a visible and valued part of the local community
- Build strong relationships with regulars, teams, and local groups
- Create a pub that feels welcoming and truly local
Team Leadership & Culture
- Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team with personality
- Build an energetic, inclusive, and guest-focused culture
- Set the standard by being visible, hands-on, and leading from the front
Standards & Guest Experience
- Maintain high standards behind the bar and across the floor
- Deliver quality in every detail, from well-poured pints to genuine service
- Keep the pub lively, welcoming, and consistently well run
