Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Pub Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant pub. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, food and beverage service, and team leadership. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop managerial skills within a dynamic environment, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and service quality.

Duties

Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the pub, including staff supervision and customer service delivery
Support in managing food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
Supervise and coordinate team members, fostering a positive and efficient working environment
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas
Assist with organising stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory
Contribute to the development of menus, including food production and presentation
Support bar operations, including serving drinks and ensuring responsible alcohol service
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to enhance guest satisfaction
Assist in training new staff members in hospitality procedures, food safety, and service standards

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with a focus on food preparation and service
Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management capabilities
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production and kitchen hygiene
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Competence in culinary activities, including cooking and food presentation techniques
Experience in serving customers efficiently in a busy pub or restaurant setting
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards, including hotel or barista experience is advantageous
Organised with excellent communication skills, able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high standards of customer service
