Radnor Park Kindergarten has been a dedicated provider of early years education since 1998, nurturing children from 3 months to pre-school age. Our mission is to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Qualified Room Leader to lead one of our nursery rooms.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education, enjoys inspiring others, and is ready to take the next step in their career. As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding care and education while supporting and motivating your team to achieve the very best outcomes for children.

Responsibilities

As Room Leader, you will:

Lead and inspire your room team to deliver outstanding care and education.
Create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can learn, develop, and thrive.
Oversee the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring routines run smoothly and effectively.
Observe, assess, and support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's individual interests and next steps.
Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and wellbeing.
Support, mentor, and develop members of your team through coaching and leading by example.
Monitor children's learning journals and ensure high-quality observations, assessments, and planning.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene throughout the room.
Work closely with the management team to continuously improve practice and contribute ideas that enhance the nursery.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
A sound knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A positive, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
The ability to motivate, support, and lead a team.

Desirable:

Previous Room Leader or senior practitioner experience.
Experience supporting staff development and mentoring colleagues.
A good understanding of nursery compliance and inspection requirements.
