Full job description

We are looking for an experience Sous Chef for their first Head Chef role or an experienced Head Chef. We have two businesses on the Harbour "Hatch Chicken" - which is a fast paced, high volume street food place. And "The Boardroom" - which is more your typical commercial kitchen. We are looking for someone to oversea both or one - depending on the candidate.

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, cooking, and food safety, with proven management and supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, develop innovative menus, and ensure the highest standards of quality and service. The Head Chef will be responsible for maintaining a cohesive team, managing food preparation, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the entire kitchen operation, including food production, preparation, and presentation.
Develop creative menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold brand reputation.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork.

Experience

Extensive experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation within a professional setting.
Proven management and supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong background in culinary arts with a focus on innovative cuisine development.
Experience in food safety protocols and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Previous roles involving leadership responsibilities such as managing kitchen staff or supervising teams.
Familiarity with barista experience is considered advantageous but not essential.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. This role offers an engaging environment for passionate culinary professionals eager to lead a dynamic team while delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: £27,300.66-£50,000.00 per year
