WHAT WE CAN OFFER

Up to £14 per hour for age 21+ (£11.50 per hour age 18-20, £9 per hour age 16-17) – a great rate of pay above the National Living Wage
Part time

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an efficient, tidy person to prepare and pack our meat products.
Experience in working in a food business for example in hospitality, in catering, in a cafe, on a hot or cold food counter, or as a cook, butcher, food preparation assistant or as a kitchen porter is required.
A Safe Food Handling Certificate or similar food hygiene qualification is an advantage.
The hours per week for this job will be up to 8 hours per week.
There will be 1 - 2 shifts per week on Friday or Saturday.

WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES

The job holder must be able to neatly pack meat products (e.g. sausages, burgers, mince, chicken) cleanly and hygienically using our packing equipment.
The job holder must maintain a clean work station, and clear up and wash up all equipment and dishes at the end of their shift.
The job will also involved cleaning butchery equipment, cleaning cold stores, cleaning butchery areas, packing areas and customer areas.

We only ever supply natural, sustainable food and keep our supply miles to a minimum sourcing locally from Northern Ireland.

Job Responsibilities

Packing and labelling meat products using a vacuum packer and a labelling machine
The role is physically active and requires manual handling
The role will include lifting boxes of stock (up to 15kg)
The role will also include cleaning the packing areas, refrigerated areas, food prep areas, butchery areas and cold stores.

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (required)

Experience:
