Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating a passion for hospitality and a commitment to food safety standards. As Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff training, and maintaining the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive team environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Train and mentor kitchen personnel in cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation skills.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Demonstrated experience in supervising and managing kitchen teams effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
