Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the culinary field.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary equipment and ingredients are readily available
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and adherence to health and safety standards
Clean kitchen equipment and utensils as required, following hygiene protocols
Assist in maintaining stock levels by reporting shortages to the kitchen management
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience is preferred
Basic culinary skills or knowledge of food preparation techniques would be advantageous
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop skills in cooking and hospitality
Ability to work efficiently
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude
Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members

Pay: £12.71 per hour
