Experienced Groundworker (Self-Employed)

Location: County Down & surrounding areas

Job Type: Full-time, Self-Employed (CIS)

Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience

About Us

M&T Contracts is a growing groundwork company delivering high-quality work across residential and commercial projects throughout Northern Ireland. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, reliability and professionalism, and we're looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our team.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Groundworker with a strong background in all aspects of groundwork. The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking and capable of working to a high standard both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Kerbing
Flagging and paving
General groundwork
Drainage works
Excavation and site preparation
Concrete works
Pipe laying
Operating small plant and tools (where qualified)
Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
Working efficiently to programme and quality standards

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in groundwork
Experience in kerbing and flagging
Valid CSR Card
Registered under the CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
Self-employed
Full UK driving licence
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
Ability to work safely and as part of a team
