An exciting opportunity for a Band 2 Ward Clerk to join Odstock Ward.

Odstock is a 17-bedded surgical ward specialising in the regional speciality of burns and plastics.

We are looking for somebody who has excellent communication skills, being able to display tact and diplomacy where appropriate. You will have a flexible approach to working within the team and respond effectively to enquiries from the general public, service users and other colleagues.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and is comfortable with using digital systems to help facilitate smooth and safe patient transfer and discharge.

Odstock is a friendly and supportive ward. The ward is supported by a strong medical team, as well as an experienced and well established ward team. We have our own ward team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, ward clerk and pharmacist to facilitate continuous and safe patient care. The new candidate will have the option of evening and weekend working, and will support the existing admin team with clinic preparations, outcoming, transport booking and general enquiries.

We are looking to recruit a ward clerk for Odstock Ward, a a regional specialist unit for burns and plastics.

You will be responsible for providing an effective and well-organised administrative service and for meeting the changing priorities within the department.
