We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Operative/ Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at our Carmean Limeworks site.

Role Overview

This role involves operating a face excavator, loading dump trucks and ensuring the safe and efficient running of site operations.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor the excavator, ensuring efficient production of lime products.
Operate an excavator to move, load, and handle materials safely.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on plant equipment.
Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
Maintain accurate records of production and material movements.
Assist with general site operations, including housekeeping and manual handling when required.
Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Key Requirements:

Previous experience in a quarrying environment is desirable.
Excavator experience or willingness to undertake training.
Ability to operate machinery and follow technical procedures.
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to work flexibly, including shift work if required.
