Overview

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklift equipment safely, and supporting warehouse management activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to smooth operations within a fast-paced environment. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills in logistics and materials handling.

Duties

Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move goods within the facility
Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and storing products in designated areas
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods
Conduct basic repairs and maintenance on equipment as needed to ensure operational safety and efficiency
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
Support the organisation of stock levels, conducting regular stock checks and audits
Assist with general warehouse duties such as cleaning work areas and preparing goods for shipment or storage
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse setting
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous
Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, shipping, and receiving protocols
Ability to perform basic maths calculations for inventory counts and measurements
Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Basic literacy skills for documentation purposes
Valid forklift licence or certification is essential

This role requires a proactive individual committed to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Candidates should be prepared to work in a physically demanding environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety compliance.

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
