About the Role
This is a highly varied, office-based position supporting the day-to-day running of our print and sign operations. As a key member of a small team, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, helping us maintain excellent customer relationships while handling a unique mix of administration, payment processing, stock management & ordering, hands-on production work.
Because we are a compact team, you will regularly work independently and must be confident using your own initiative to solve daily challenges and keep the office running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Care: Answering incoming telephone calls and handling client enquiries in a professional, friendly manner.
- Finance & Admin: Preparing invoices and receipts using Sage software, processing orders, and keeping accurate financial records.
- Payment Processing: Securely processing customer card and digital payments and handling billing queries.
- Creative Design: Undertaking a small amount of basic design work utilizing CorelDraw to support client print and sign orders.
- Production & Print Support: Assisting with actual printing tasks, machine operation (digital print production & guillotine), helping with hands-on sign manufacturing.
- Stock Control & ordering from suppliers : Managing and monitoring levels of paper, sign materials, print consumables, and general office stock.
- General Operations: Completing day-to-day office administration and customer follow-ups to ensure smooth operations.
- Print finishing & packing orders.
Requirements
- Work Style: Proven ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and use your own initiative. Keeping a clean working environment.
- Experience: Previous office administration, customer service, or sign-making/printing experience is desired, but in-house training can be provided for the right enthusiastic candidate.
- Software & Financial Skills: Trustworthy and comfortable with digital payment systems and numerical tasks.
- IT Literacy: Good IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Attributes: Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, a confident communication style, and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Location: Must be willing and able to travel daily to our office in Neepsend / Kelham.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Prior experience or knowledge of printing /signage.
