Hillside Cuddle Club
Hillside Cuddle Club is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Entertainer & Animal Carer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals and engaging with the public. We are seeking an adaptable individual who can use their own initiative, work independently, and provide excellent customer experiences.
Working Hours
Friday to Tuesday
8:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: National Minimum Wage (higher rate may be considered for the right candidate).
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering a range of animal experiences and educational encounters, including:
- Reptile encounters
- Pig and animal meet-and-greets
- Alpaca walks
- Children's and private parties
- Educational talks about our animals
You will be handling a wide variety of animals and speaking to guests about animal facts, welfare, and behaviour. Full training will be provided, although a good knowledge of animals is preferred.
Animal Care Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures
- Feeding animals and providing fresh water
- Administering medications where required
- Completing animal care records and paperwork
- Monitoring animal health and welfare
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's experience working with animals preferred
- Confidence handling a variety of animals
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Friendly and professional approach to customer service
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Customer service experience is preferred

The ideal candidate will be confident, reliable, energetic, and passionate about animal welfare. They will enjoy interacting with visitors of all ages and be comfortable presenting to groups and hosting animal experiences.
