Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Trainee Powder Coater to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn.
This role involves gaining an understanding of the importance of correct preparation prior to powder coating, with the opportunity to learn how to powder coat to a high standard in line with our requirements and specifications.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding role. The successful candidate will be preparing products ready for powder coating, which includes lifting items onto and off the powder coating track throughout the day.
Some products can be heavy, so applicants must be physically fit, capable of manual handling, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment..

Main Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning using chemical treatments, sanding, and masking where necessary
- Learn to apply powder coatings evenly and efficiently to achieve the desired coverage and finish
- Load and unload products safely
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including the proper storage of coatings and materials
- Inspect coated products for quality assurance and carry out touch-ups or corrections where required
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
No experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Pay & Progression
National Minimum Wage will be paid during the 6-month probationary and training period. Following successful completion of the probation period, the hourly rate will be reviewed and increased based on performance, development, and progression within the role.
Hours
Mon-Thur 7am-5pm (1 hour unpaid break)
Friday 7am - 12:45pm (15min unpaid break)
Pay £12.71 per hour to be reviewed after 6 months training / probation period.
