Senior Therapeutic Residential Practitioner

Location: North Ayrshire
Salary: £35,200 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Therapeutic Residential Practitioner to join our dedicated team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and young people.

About the Role

As a Senior Therapeutic Residential Practitioner, you will:

Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
Build positive, therapeutic relationships with young people.
Mentor and support Residential Practitioners to deliver outstanding care.
Promote safeguarding and advocate for the needs and rights of young people.
Work collaboratively with families, social workers, education providers, and other professionals.
Support care planning, risk assessments, and positive outcomes for young people.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.

What We're Looking For

SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) and HNC (or equivalent) meeting SSSC requirements.
Minimum 2 years' experience working in residential childcare.
Experience supporting young people with complex needs and developmental trauma.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, children's rights, and residential childcare standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
