We are looking forenthusiastic and energetic people to join our team at North Berwick Sport Centre.

Purpose of the Job
To lead activity sessions to ensure the safety, enjoyment and continued development of the skills, competencies and aspirations of individual participants.

Key Tasks

Leading a coaching activity in your field of expertise.

Ensuring the health & safety of the participants during the coached activity and to co-operate with centre procedures.

Ensuring that the standard of instruction is pitched at the correct level for the participants.

Ensuring that the standard of instruction is maintained at a high level.

Ensuring that the class design is such that it develops individual skills and abilities according to their own aspirations.

Ensuring the coach maintains their own levels of skills, competencies and qualifiactions to meet the above key tasks and enjoyleisure guidelines.

Ensure that the coached activity remains popular and all participants are made to feel involved and welcome.

To monitor class programmes and report to their line supervisor any points of concern and to be prepared to be involved in the continued marketing and promotion of the coached activity and the centre as a whole.

Requirements for this Role

Relevant Qualifications

Essential:
SVQ Level II Group Exercise to Music or Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Group Training or equivalent
SVQ/CYQ Level II Fitness Instructor
SVQ/CYQ Level III Personal Training

Desirable:

Additional class qualifications for example – Spin/group cycle instructor, Les Mills class instructor, Kettlebells, Zumba, Pilates, Boxfit, Dance fit.
First aid qualification

Salary:
£19.29 per hour

Hours per week:

Various - Working hours will include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
