Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of overgate shopping centre premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in hospitality or janitorial services. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a vital part in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while managing daily operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff to maintain high performance levels.
Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff productivity to meet operational requirements.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained and equipment is properly maintained.
Address guest complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
Enforce health and safety policies in line with hotel standards and legal requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the hotel.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices for cleanliness and safety.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Hospitality experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with cleaning products and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-quality guest experience through effective supervision and attention to detail in all aspects of housekeeping operations.

Pay: £14.35 per hour
