Skills Coach – Plumbing
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time post
Fixed term end date: 31 July 2027
Salary: DA9, £36,666 - £39,780
Location: The Rossie Young People’s Trust, Montrose

Dundee and Angus College and The Rossie Young People’s Trust have developed a Skills & Employability Partnership aimed at improving outcomes for young people who face significant barriers to education, employment and progression.

As part of the continued development of this partnership, we are now seeking a motivated and industry-experienced Skills Coach in Plumbing to support young people in developing practical trade skills, confidence and employability.

This role will involve working with young people from a range of backgrounds, including those with disrupted education experiences or those who require additional support to engage in education, training or employment pathways. You will deliver engaging, hands-on learning activities and skills development experiences within a practical workshop and training environment. You will inspire and motivate young people while creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification in Plumbing and have recent industry experience. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to build trusting relationships with young people.

Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Monday 22 June 2026.

Interviews are scheduled to take place at The Rossie Young People’s Trust, Montrose, date still to be confirmed.
