Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Roofer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. The role requires excellent practical skills, a strong understanding of health and safety procedures, and the ability to work at height in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
· Install new roofs using materials such as slate, tile, felt, lead, and single-ply systems.
· Carry out roof repairs, maintenance, and leak detection work.
· Remove and replace damaged roofing materials.
· Install roof windows, guttering, fascias, soffits, and flashing.
· Measure roofs and calculate material requirements.
· Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work schedules.
· Inspect roofs to identify defects and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within project deadlines.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition.
· Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and industry regulations.
Requirements
Essential
· Proven experience as a Roofer.
· Knowledge of various roofing systems and materials.
· Ability to work safely at height.
· Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
· Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Full UK driving licence.
· NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Roofing or equivalent qualification.
· CSCS card.
· Experience in leadwork, flat roofing, or heritage roofing projects.
· PASMA, IPAF, or Working at Height certification.
