Job Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator oversees key inventory management processes and ensures the smooth operation of our supply chain. This role requires precision, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to maintain accurate inventory levels and streamline workflows.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
- Properly store incoming inventory in designated locations, ensuring organization and accessibility.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Review and validate sales orders (S/O) to ensure accuracy and readiness for fulfillment.
- Create and process job orders (J/O) promptly to support production and operational needs.
- Retrieve and prepare parts or materials from inventory for internal use or customer orders.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, collaborating with relevant teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the transfer of defective items, ensuring proper documentation and handling in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate and verify understanding of all QMS work instructions and procedures with the Inventory assistant.
- Lead the preparation of inventory for the year-end stock take and assume full ownership for ensuring its successful completion.
- Carry out any other duties as reasonably required in line with the needs of the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related role.
- Knowledge of ERP systems or similar inventory management platforms preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and handle inventory as needed.
- Knowledge of ERP systems or similar inventory management platforms preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak and hear.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or equivalent.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
