Optical Assistant / Receptionist 2 Days Per Week

- Dungannon, Co. Tyrone
- Looking for a hands-on role in a friendly, professional setting?

We’re a small, independent optician’s practice in Dungannon, and we’re looking for a reliable, proactive, and personable Optical Assistant / Frame Stylist to join our team. If you’re great with people, comfortable with technology, and eager to learn, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You’ll Do:

Welcome and assist patients, ensuring a friendly and professional experience
Manage bookings, payments, and patient records using our bespoke computer system
Support the optometrists in delivering outstanding care
Help the patients select frames, ensure they fit properly and adjusting and repairing frames when necessary
Ordering frames, lenses and everything else the practice needs
Keep the practice running smoothly—tidying, restocking, and staying productive at all times
Learn and adapt quickly, with full training provided

What We’re Looking For:

Dependability – we need someone who takes initiative and can be trusted to get things done
Flexibility – willing to step in where needed and adapt to the day’s demands, including cover on the occasional Saturday if required
Computer literacy – confident using technology and learning new systems
A strong work ethic – we want someone who stays engaged and productive
A positive, professional approach – great with people, whether answering the phone or helping patients in person
An interest in style and fashion
A keen eye for detail
Qualifications – Ideally candidates should be educated to minimum A Level standard (or equivalent) with a minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade A to C.

Prior optical experience is ideal, but not essential
