Full job description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting.

Job Duties:

Duties include:

Dealing with patient queries by telephone and in person, efficiently and accurately.
Processing medications requests in a timely manner to ensure dispensed on time.
Supporting and liaising with the clinical team and with other health care professionals.
Dealing with anxious or distressed patients in an empathetic and reassuring manner.
Providing administrative support to clinicians and management team

Qualifications / Experience:

Minimum 5 GCSE, including English & Mathematics Grade C or equivalent.
The post requires flexibility to provide the level of service we deliver between 8:30- 6:00 week days
Previous experience of working in an office environment
Proficiency in the use of computer systems and relevant software.
Ability to work as part of a team to ensure consistent approach in dealing with duties.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
Ability to prioritise workload and have excellent time-management skills
Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy and avoid errors.
Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing situations and to handle unexpected changes
Understanding of confidentiality and Data protection in a healthcare setting.
Desirable -previous experience of working in a health care setting or reception experience.
