Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented and organised Payroll Assistant to join our payroll team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous payroll experience to play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. As a Payroll Assistant, you will support the smooth running of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality at all times. This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing
Ensuring payroll data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations
Processing starters, leavers, and changes to employee records
Supporting with payroll queries from employees and managers
Maintaining payroll records and documentation
Assisting with reporting and reconciliations

About You:

Proven experience working in a payroll position
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident working with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
